Delta Air Lines to start winter flights to Saint Lucia, tourism boost anticipated

Castries, Saint Lucia: The Tourism Authority of Saint Lucia has recently announced that Delta Air Lines will be starting second daily flight services to the beautiful island nation in winter. According to the recent update, the service will commence from January 16 to April 6, 2024, with an additional Saturday-only flight.

It is anticipated that these additional flights will boost tourism in the nation, bringing more tourists and travel enthusiasts to the shores of the island nation.

While welcoming the general public, the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority asked the tourists to come to the destination and enjoy their winters in the warm embrace of Saint Lucia.

The Authority took its official social media account and shared this information. It noted, “Escape the winter chill and bask in the warm embrace of Saint Lucia with Delta! Don’t miss out on this opportunity! Contact your travel agent today to secure your seat.”

According to the update by the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority and Delta, the flight services will start from/ to Atlanta.

Saint Lucia provides air service from the Hewanorra International Airport (UVF). The airport is located in the Vieux Fort, which is in the southern part of the island.

Reportedly, Saint Lucia welcomes 17 airlines (international as well as regional airlines) to its shore, including Delta Air Lines. The other airlines which provide service to Saint Lucia are JetBlue Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Air Transat.

Caribbean: Air Caraibes, Air Antilles, Caribbean Airlines, interCaribbean Airways and LIAT

Besides this, the small island nation welcomes small inter-island planes at the George FL Charles Airport, which is located near Castries. As per the reports, several smaller airlines fly to George FL Charles via neighbouring islands.
