CDC rated Antigua and Barbuda level-1 for coronavirus and low risk

The United States Centers for Disease Control Prevention announced Antigua and Barbuda‘s twin island to be placed in the Level-1 category and a low-risk coronavirus place. This decision has been accepted by the government of Antigua and Barbuda.
Antigua and Barbuda had previously been at Level 3 or high risk, and the Level 1 ranking is assigned to countries where the rate of COVID-19 transmission is low.
Ambassador Lionel ‘Max’ Hurst, chief of staff in the Antigua and Barbuda government, said that it was excellent news for them. It meant that they had been doing something right. it was fantastic news for tourism. As they knew, the US is their number one market, and they were really thrilled about that.
Ambassador Lionel said that because when they want to travel somewhere, he wants to know they travel somewhere that was safe, apart from the fact that Antigua is very safe in terms of the low level of crime. Health was then number one on people’s list as far as it concerns travelling.
The government has successfully started a vaccination drive in which they are offering people incentives, including a piece of land because it will be a try to achieve herd immunity by having a minimum of 70 % of the population vaccinated so that they can stay safe from the virus that has killed and infected many people worldwide.
After the government noticed a severe impact of COVID-19 on its person and areas. The government formed a cabinet sub-committee to find the source for funding.
According to the government, they have the terrible effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on their revenue, which reduced by 40% . The country has also exhausted many borrowing sources. The deadlines given by the banks to the government have been coming to an end soon.
