Saint Lucia celebrates Caribbean Wellness Day 2023
Ministry of Health of Saint Lucia shared a glimpse of the Caribbean Wellness Day 2023 celebration at the Constitution Park in Castries.

Castries, Saint Lucia: The Ministry of Health of Saint Lucia shared a glimpse of the Caribbean Wellness Day 2023 celebration at the Constitution Park in Castries. The meeting was attended by the ministries of health and agriculture, along with Taiwan Technical Mission’s members.
The Ministry, through social media, outlined, “It was an electrifying Friday morning at Constitution Park in Castries, where the commemoration ceremony for Caribbean Wellness Day was held.”
“The ceremony, which was flanked by a farmers’ market, was a joint effort involving the Ministries of Health and Agriculture and the Taiwan Technical Mission. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the collaborating partners and forty visiting Taiwanese Youth Ambassadors,” as per the update shared by the Ministry.
Accordingly, addressing the audience was Agriculture Minister Alfred Prospere, Taiwan Ambassador Peter Chen-Yen, Head of the Taiwanese Youth Delegation Constance Wang, and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health Jenny Daniel.
The audience was entertained by the Taiwanese Youth Ambassadors, with musicals and choreography. Mighty Dre’, 2nd Runner in the 2023 Junior Calypso Competition and the unofficial “St Lucia Moves” ambassador, performed his song entitled ” St Lucia Moves.” The ceremony wrapped up with a calypso rendition by Leonette Pierre,
writer of the “St Lucia Moves” song performed by Mighty Dre’.
Several services and products were on display, from food items to clothing, hair, and skin products. The various departments of the Ministry of Health, such as the Bureau of Health Education, Dental Unit, Community Nursing, Environmental Health, Nutrition, and the Substance Abuse Advisory Secretariat, were also present with a display of all the services provided by the Ministry.
Caribbean Wellness Day:
Caribbean Wellness Day is marked every second Saturday of September, and this year, the Day was marked on September 9, 2023. The Day was commemorated across the region, and many activities and events were organised which focused on wellness and well-being.
