Jamaica: Shooting in Westmoreland leaves one dead and another injured, suspects on run
Two men from Jamaica were shot, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to another on the Broughton main road in Little London, Westmoreland on Friday. The motive behind the attack is still not known and the suspect is on the run and has not been caught yet by the officers.

Westmoreland, Jamaica: Two men from Jamaica were shot, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to another on the Broughton main road in Little London, Westmoreland on Friday. The motive behind the attack is still not known and the suspect is on the run and has not been caught yet by the officers.
The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Bob Isaacs, a farmer and delivery truck driver from the said area. Meanwhile, the injured has been identified as a 36-year-old farmer, whose name has not been disclosed yet by the officials.
According to the details shared by the authorities, both the victims were travelling in a blue Isuzu truck when two men travelling on a dark-coloured motorcycle drove to the right side of the truck and fired at both Isaacs and the farmer who was sitting inside the vehicle.
As per the information, Isaacs was shot in the neck, head and right side of his body. Meanwhile, the other 36-year-old farmer was shot in his right shoulder. Following the loud explosions, the residents of the community immediately informed the authorities about the incident.
As soon as the officers reached the crime spot, they found Isaac leaning over the steering wheel. Subsequently, both the victims were immediately taken to the hospital where they both were examined thoroughly by the doctors on duty.
The doctors pronounced Isaac dead and the other person is still admitted to hospital and is undergoing medical treatment.
Several residents of the community took to their social media accounts and expressed their views and opinions on the news.
One person commented, “Westmoreland is wild right now; people are not safe these days and are committing crimes so openly.”
Another person commented the following “What has happened to Jamaica, crimes are increasing so rapidly and are creating so much disturbance.”
The residents of Jamaica have requested the citizens of the country in order to curb the increasing crime rates of the country, ensuring the safety and security of the nation.
