Ernest Hilaire hosts Christmas Party at St Joseph

Castries, Saint Lucia: The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, as well as the member of parliament serving for the Castries South, Ernest Hilaire, hosted a Christmas party at St Joseph in Barre.

He expressed his delight as he witnessed cheers and joy on the children’s faces throughout the day and enjoying the activities. Minister Hilaire also shared glimpses of the event on his official Facebook handle.

Unfortunately, the weather was not cooperating in the beginning, but this did not limit the fun of children. They enjoyed the Christmas Party to the fullest.

Notably, just two days ago, the Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia visited a school in Marigot to inaugurate the first of the Children’s Christmas party.

Forthcoming Children’s Christmas Party Schedule

As Saint Lucia celebrates the festival with great zeal and warmth, various competitions and events are going on to celebrate the culture together.

Minister Hilaire is hosting the Children’s Christmas Party from December 9-16,2023 in different constituencies. The forthcoming events are scheduled for the following dates and venues,

1. Date: December 13, Wednesday
   Venue: Bananne
   Time: 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm

2. Date: December 15, Friday
Venue: Goodlands
Time: 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm

3. Date: December 16, Saturday
Venue: Ciceron
 Time: 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm

The parties will feature a proper feast and games during the celebrations.

More competitions and events are going to be held from December 17-22, 2023, like Black Cake and Sorrel Competition, Hamper Distribution and Christmas Solo.

The Deputy PM of Saint Lucia has always been constant in taking an interest in community affairs, which mainly include,

– Taking part in public gatherings

– Organizing events for public welfare

– To have one-to-one talks with members of the constituency

– To take part in International Meetings

Notably, recently, the government of Saint Lucia has also given approval on the barrel concession for the Christmas Season of 2023. The items being sanctioned to this concession will attract a Customs Service charge, which is fixed at the rate of six per cent (6%).

As Saint Lucia is known for its party-hard ethos throughout the year, the country offers various beautiful and unique places for travel enthusiasts to spend their Christmas in one of the most breath taking islands in the Caribbean.

The Christmas season is one of the biggest celebrations in Saint Lucia’s calendar, lining up fireworks and a plethora of tasty food and rum.
