Spirit of Discovery makes historic inaugural visit to St Vincent and the Grenadines

Spirit of Discovery marked its inaugural visit to the shores of St Vincent and the Grenadines on Tuesday, 19th November, 2024. The vessel docked at the Port Kingstown and brought thousands of passengers to the country and marked a beginning of new relations and connectivity.

The first visit of the Spirit of Discovery was celebrated with a plaque exchange ceremony. This ceremony was attended by several delegates, including the Tourism Authority of SVG and the Port Authority. The authorities exchanged plaques with the captain of the vessel, Franko Papie and extended a warm welcome to all the crew members and passengers.

Captain Papie thanked all the delegates for their warm welcome and expressed his excitement for the addition of the Spirit of Discovery on the cruise journey of the island nation. He also shed light on his commitment to continue to strengthen the relationship between the cruise and the island nation.

Also, the authorities took the captain of the vessel, crew members and all the passengers on a guided tour and offered a delicious lunch as a part of their welcoming celebration.
