Saint Lucia launches Story Map and Smart Tourism Project, aims to enhance travel experience
The Ministry of Tourism, of Saint Lucia launched a Story Map and Smart Tourism Project in collaboration with the Taiwan ICDF. The project is implemented with a vision to enhance the overall tourism experience of all the visitors.

Castries, Saint Lucia: The Ministry of Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information launched a Story Map and Smart Tourism Project in collaboration with the Taiwan ICDF. The project is implemented with a vision to enhance the overall tourism experience of all the visitors and lead the nation towards sustainable growth.
The innovative initiative was launched on 14th May 2024 at the Constitution Park with the motive to promote and preserve rich cultural and educational heritage of the island nation.
This technological advancement project will allow the tourists to navigate their way around the city by scanning QR codes. These QR codes will further inform the visitors about the key landmarks in order to offer seamless travel experience to all the visitors.
Notably, the visitors will also get an access to the audio and video guides of the city’s map in the advanced stages of the project. This stunning visual display will play a huge role in deepening the visitors’ understanding towards each site’s significance.
The tourism authority is anticipating to attract large number of visitors to the island nation. It will further play a significant role in expanding the tourism revenue, ensuring growth and sustainability of the local economy.
Saint Lucia is considered as the Caribbean’s Leading Adventure Tourism, Nature and Honeymoon Destination. The implementation of such initiative shed light on the continuous efforts of the authorities towards showcasing and preserving Saint Lucia’s rich and vibrant culture. The initiative will also be very crucial in promoting awareness and education about the island nation’s rich cultural heritage of the nation.
