Saint Lucia introduces Air Caraibes flights for European & French travellers

Ernest Hilaire expressed his delight as the nation has enhanced services from Air Caraibes flights, also known as ‘NavigAir’ for European and French travellers.

Castries, Saint Lucia: The Deputy Prime Minister as well as the Minister of Tourism- Ernest Hilaire expressed his delight as the nation has enhanced services from Air Caraibes, also known as ‘NavigAir’ for European and French travellers.

The Deputy Minister made this announcement during the launch of Air Caraibes flights TX510 from France to Fort-de-France. These flights will connect to Saint Lucia through L’Express des Iles.

The NavigAir services are available from Paris to St Marteen, Guadeloupe and Dominica with onward connections to Saint Lucia via Express des Iles.

Such initiatives and services foster the growth of the tourism sector which will directly enhance the economy of the country. As Saint Lucia remains foremost in the list of destinations to spend quality time with family and loved ones, this opportunity will enrich the visitor experience.

“This development not only enriches the visitor experience but also bolsters our economy. With increased connectivity, more people can now partake in the vibrant festivities, cultural events, and festivals that make Saint Lucia a truly unique destination. This growth reflects our commitment to providing accessibility and fostering a deeper connection with our beautiful island, ensuring that the wonders of Saint Lucia are within reach for everyone”, Minister Hilaire added.

It is to be noted that the flight services from Orly, Paris to Martinique is expected to start from the airport to the port of Martinique and the ferry service to Saint Lucia on L’Express des Iles is included in the same price for visitors arriving in Saint Lucia on the same day.

The Tourism Advisory Committee (TAC) is looking forward to bringing together the key players in the tourism industry to examine the recent achievements, address challenges and assess performance.

Further, the extended route is designed to well-organized travel for visitors between the
French territories and Saint Lucia. These services are available on Thursdays and Sundays and following is the schedule of the new flight routes and their departure.

  • The Thursday flight (TX511) departs from Orly at noon and arrives in Fort de France (FDF) at Martinique at 3:55 pm
  • The ferry service departs from FDF at 10:15 pm and arrives at the Castries Ferry Terminal at 11:45 pm
  • The ferry service departs from Martinique at 7:15 pm and will arrive in Saint Lucia at 8:45 pm

Noting this, the return service from Saint Lucia to Martinique, Guadeloupe and Dominica is available Saturdays to Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The Minister of Tourism emphasized the demand and urgency for additional accommodation in Saint Lucia which will ease the stay of visitors and travellers in the nation.
