The project aims to provide a top-of-the-line experience that surpasses the definition of luxury, making the Caribbean Jewel Seven Wonders one of the highlights of a stay in Saint Lucia.
The development project comprises seven zones cascading around Gros-Islet’s Mount Pimard, each offering various amenities and services, including:
- A 480-room luxury resort
- Villas
- Specialized clinical services
- A wedding chapel
- Over-the-sea bungalows
- The region’s first wellness retreat center by the award-winning international wellness brand TheLifeCo.
The plan for constructing the Caribbean Jewel Seven Wonders was finalized on November 27, 2023, by the Government of Saint Lucia and Invest Saint Lucia in collaboration with the Atlas Group. The first component of the project is expected to open in 2025.
The Atlas Group is an international construction group and an industry leader in various market segments. The group has already provided services to major players in the hospitality sector in the USA and has expertise in master development, infrastructure projects, satellite city development, sewage treatment plants, and roads.
With the help of ISL, the chief investment agency of Saint Lucia, the government aims to attract foreign direct investments that will play a pivotal role in creating new and sustainable jobs for the residents of the island nation and open avenues for local service providers. This economic linkage is expected to foster local economic growth, creating resilience and expansion.
Philip J Pierre, the Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, expressed that this resort will help diversify Saint Lucia’s tourism product, introducing a new type of input into the industry that will significantly benefit the tourism sector. The investment will also contribute to an increase in electric bikes and electronic vehicles, offering a beautiful view of the mountains.
The former Prime Minister, Allen Chastanet, also extended his support to this new investment in the tourism sector.
