MV AIDABELLA makes its inaugural visit to the shores of Dominica, bringing thousands of passengers to the island nation.
Captain, crew members, and passengers onboard the vessel received a prestigious welcome by the Discover Dominica Authority, who were joined by some students of the state college who are into tourism and hospitality.
Visitors experienced and explored the pristine beaches, lush rainforests and inspiring landscapes of the nature isle, bringing immense value to the local economy, communities and tourism sector of the country.
Arrival of MV AIDABELLA: Momentous Occasion
Shedding light on the first-ever visit of MV AIDABELLA to the Nature Isle, the CEO of the Discover Dominica Authority, Marva Williams referred it as a ‘significant milestone’ for the country.
“We welcome you to our shores for the very first time, and we hope that this visit will encourage many, many more visits. For us, it is a milestone,” said CEO Williams.
She added that the inaugural visit by MV AIDABELLA reflects the growing reputation and appeal of the country as a must visit destination in the Caribbean.
She further went on to add that the arrival of cruise ship is a testament to the hard work and dedication of every member working in the tourism industry towards solidifying its position as a premier ecotourism destination.
“The cruise operators, the tour operators, and us discover Dominica, what makes today possible.”
The CEO Marva Williams said that such inaugural visit by the vessels would play a huge role in bridging the gap and connecting the beauty, culture and hospitality of Dominica with around the globe.
She added that first-ever visit by the vessel also opens door for more cruise ship opportunities and partnerships, expanding Dominica’s presence on the global tourism stage.
Boost to local business
She also emphasized on the contribution of cruise tourism to the local businesses and called it a vital opportunity for them to showcase, sell and promote their locally produced goods.
CEO Williams further added that each passenger disembarked from MV AIDABELLA represented a chance for the local businesses of the country to thrive and survive.
The CEO said that this significant boost to the local businesses directly supports their families, communities, and national economy of the country.
She added that it is also a great way for them to showcase and promote the rich cultural heritage of the nation, enriching and fostering understanding and respect among international audiences.

CEO Marva Williams further highlighted about the vibrant offerings of the country and mentioned about the lush rainforests, cascading waterfalls, Sulphur Springs of the island nation.
She said that Dominica has something to offer to everyone, ensuring an ‘unforgettable’ experience to all.
