Digicel appoints new Regional GM for Grenada, Dominica and St Vincent and the Grenadines
Meredith Sharples to have full responsibility for Digicel Grenada and oversight of operations in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Dominica.

Digicel has announced the appointment of a new Regional General Manager for Grenada, Dominica and St Vincent and the Grenadines, by the name of Meredith Sharples who took office on the 1st of March 2024.
Sharples was a managing partner at Cambridge Management Consulting before being offered his current position in the Digicel hierarchy and is an expert in the field of telecoms with 20 years of experience in the field.
Sharples’s new position has given him responsibility for Digicel Grenada, while he will also provide oversight for Digicel St Vincent and the Grenadines and Digicel Dominica.
The Digicel Group’s West Indies Region is led by Cluster CEO Roeland Van Der Hoeven, who personally welcomed Sharples to his team.
He also gave the following statement, “We are truly pleased to welcome Meredith to the team. With his experience, we anticipate great things for Grenada, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Dominica. I also want to thank Oscar Arellano for his contributions as interim CEO for Digicel Grenada during the transition period.”
Sharples has expressed his excitement about the possibilities that his new role has to offer and has said publicly that his focus will be on utilizing his expertise and the resources at his disposal to push for greater growth and innovation in the entire region.
He also said that him and his family are looking forward to moving to Grenada and exploring the beautiful Caribbean nation.
Sharples’ appointment is being seen as a step towards the right direction for Digicel, as the telecom organisation looks to progress into the future with a fresh outlook and a different approach.
The company is also focuses on brining a more innovative approach to the regional market, while also prioritizing advancements in technology and services.
