American Airlines increases flight service to Saint Lucia for summer 2024
American Airlines increased the capacity to Hewanorra International Airport (UVF), Saint Lucia, for the upcoming summer of 2024.

Castries, Saint Lucia: American Airlines increased the capacity to Hewanorra International Airport (UVF), Saint Lucia, for the upcoming summer of 2024.
While maintaining consistency, it offers additional seat capacity and two daily flights between Miami International Airport (MIA) and UVF during this winter season.
It is to be noted that American Airlines plan is to begin a second daily flight from MIA to UVF, which will operate from June 5 to September 3, 2024.
Notably, apart from the airline’s partnership, this additional frequency also provides suitable schedule options for trips to and from Saint Lucia or UVF. Additionally, the aircraft used on the MIA-UVF route will scale from a B-737 (172 seats) to an A-321 (190 seats).
In addition, the Philadelphia (PHL) to UVF route will effectively operate from mid-February to mid-March as it is supposed to be upgraded from an A-319 (129 seats) to an A-321 (190 seats.
This increased capacity and additional daily leg complements existing service from Charlotte (CLT) and Philadelphia (PHL) to UVF.
American Airlines plays an important role in connecting passengers to the unmatched warmth and beauty of Saint Lucia. Most importantly, all flights from American Airlines will offer a premium cabin to its visitors.
It is to be added that, the departures from Miami to UVF, Saint Lucia are scheduled to take off at 8:35 am and 10:05 am. Whereas, the corresponding arrival times at the UVF are set at 12:30 pm and 2:00 pm.
Considering this, the flights from Saint Lucia to Miami are set to take off at 2:11 pm and 3:42 pm for the return leg, with the arrival times at Miami at 5:55 pm and 7:25 pm.
The commencement of the additional services lines up seamlessly, takes advantage of the growing US market, and enhances air transport to the destination with ongoing initiatives.
Lorin Charles-St Jules, CEO of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, stated that American Airlines’ decision underlines their confidence in Saint Lucia and steady commitment to providing outstanding services to visitors.

America, Central American Airlines Managing Director for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean- Jose Maria Giraldo, expressed his delight in strengthening their alliance with Saint Lucia as they are offering four peak-day flights to the US to their customers.
While stating Saint Lucia as one of the important destinations in the Caribbean, he stated that US airlines will serve more than 350 peak-day departures to almost 94 destinations during the winter.
