Manchester, Jamaica: The police officers of Guyana are investigating the mysterious death of a 14-year-old student of Leonora Secondary School on Tuesday. The body of the deceased is waiting for a post-mortem examination to determine the real cause of death.

As per the details, a 14-year-old teenager was studying in 9th standard and also occupied a room in the school dorm. According to the ‘Dorms Father’, it was reported to him that a teenager had been missing for a very long and his friends were not able to find him.

Therefore, the father of the Dorms conducted a search in and around the school compound, but he was unable to locate or contact the teenager. Soon after that, he went to the male section of the dorm where he conducted a search and later discovered that somebody was locked in the washroom.

On opening the washroom, he found that the teenager was suspended in the air with a sheet around his neck, which made him unconscious. Following that, the teenager was taken to the Leonora Cottage Hospital, where the doctors on duty examined him thoroughly and pronounced him dead.

The body was later transported to Ezekiel Funeral Home, where the family of the deceased is waiting for the post-mortem examination. Following the death of the kid, the incident garnered a lot of attention from citizens of Guyana as they took to their social media accounts and expressed their views and opinions.

One user with Facebook handle Suzette Suzie Ferguson wrote “Children need their family at the end of the day maybe this child couldn’t cope with being away from his family or maybe he was bullied by peers…teachers nor dorm parents can’t deal with kids’ emotional needs as family.”

Another person with Facebook account Devina D. Singh commented the following “This story isn’t adding up! This child was probably going through a lot at home or in his surroundings, maybe even his school; investigations should be going further into this young boy’s death. RIP.”

“This kid was scared of something or someone, and he didn’t know what to do, so he just ended his life thinking he would get away from them or it,” wrote a user named Mark Persaud.

“One thing I have to say besides everything, Parents need to have a better relationship with their kids so they can feel free to share anything with them,” wrote another user.
