Miss Saint Lucia Claire Marissa Smartt bags Miss OECS 2024 title

Miss Saint Lucia Claire Marissa Smartt bagged the title of new Miss OECS 2024. The event took place on Friday evening, 12 January 2024, at Windsor Park, Dominica.

It is to be noted, that the winner of the pageant dressed in a beautiful green gown was crowned by the Parliamentary Representative, Melissa Skerrit during the finals hosted in Dominica. Miss Adicia Burton from Dominica and Miss Thyana Kai Sebastian were announced as the first and the second runner ups respectively.

The competition was conducted in several rounds where Miss Claire Marissa Smartt won several tags. The tags won by Miss Saint Lucia include, Best promotional video, Best in creative national wear, Best in swim wear, Best swimwear, Best in Swimwear and Best in evening wear.

Besides this, the other tags include Miss Amenity was received by Miss Grenada, Amonai Francis; Best Creative Nation wear was bagged by Miss Dominica, Adicia Burton; the title of Best Talent was won by Thyana Kai Sebastian, Miss Antigua and Barbuda; Best Evening wear and Best response was also received by Miss Dominica.

Claire Marissa Smart, was born on 19th May, 1998. Alongside this, she is also having an interest in arts and dance. Dance is something which she loves the most, as she was a former member of CAM Dancers. Miss Saint Lucia has also graced various stages with talent and magnificent dancing skills, including Esperance, Jete and St Lucian Story.

The newly crowned Miss OECS’s journey from Saint Lucia’s Most Talented Teen to Miss World Saint Lucia 2021 has been exceptionally remarkable. Claire has participated at various events and represented her nation, which includes Dubai Expo 2020, Export the Runway and Miss SJC Virtual Queen Pageant.

Claire Marissa Smartt’s journey has been inspiring and motivating for all the younger women who aspire to win this title.

Notably, Miss Saint Lucia is currently studying Marketing at the University of the West Indies and is actively involved with the Saint Lucia National Dance Company. Claire in a few of her interviews has also shared that she has high dreams as well, for which she is working tirelessly to turn her dreams and aspirations into reality, as one of her aims is to grace the Miss Universe stage.
