Minister Ernest Hilaire shares Christmas greetings
The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, as well as the member of parliament serving for the Castries South, Ernest Hilaire, extended Christmas greetings to the people of the Federation.

Castries, Saint Lucia: The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, as well as the member of parliament serving for the Castries South, Ernest Hilaire, extended Christmas greetings to the people of the Federation.
Minister Hilaire expressed his delight and urged people to celebrate the occasion with their friends and family.
“Merry Christmas to my constituents of Castries South and the entire of Saint Lucia. May your day be filled with love, joy and God’s blessings. It is the season for giving and caring for your friends and family”, he wrote.
It is to be noted that the Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia also shared a quote during the season’s greetings. The quote by Luke 2:10 reads as, “And the angel said unto them, ‘Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.”
Notably, Minister Hilaire took to his official Facebook handle to extend the greetings for Christmas Eve. Many people also exchange wishes by commenting on the post.
While reacting to the post, one person named Deroy Destang wrote, “Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and your family.”
Another person by the name of Lorine Samuel stated, “Thank you, Hon. Merry Christmas to you too, with lots of blessings.”
Recently, Hilaire hosted a series of Children’s Christmas Parties in different constituencies from December 9 to 16, and he also attended some events from December 17 to 23, 2023.
While attending the Children’s Christmas Party, he expressed his delight in witnessing the cheers on the children’s faces throughout the events and enjoying the activities.
As Saint Lucia is known for its party-hard ethos throughout the year, the island nation hosted multiple events during these days, such as,

– Black caked and Sorrel Competition
– Hamper Distribution
– Christmas Solo
Moreover, the Government of Saint Lucia has also given approval for the barrel concession while keeping the public welfare in mind.
Notably, the items that are being authorized to this concession will attract a Customs Service charge, which is fixed at the rate of six per cent (6%).
Additionally, Saint Lucia is also known as the Honeymoon Destination, and the country offers various beautiful and picturesque places for travellers to spend their Christmas and New Year.
The Christmas season holds an important place in Saint Lucia’s calendar, lining up fireworks and a plethora of tastiest delicacies and rum.
