Saint Lucia: NEMO warns motorcyclists ahead of heavy rainfall alert
Saint Lucia: The National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) gave a warning to motorcyclist to avoid roads for travelling as rainfall associated with a tropical wave has triggered flash flooding in low lying areas.

Saint Lucia: The National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) gave a warning to motorcyclist to avoid roads for travelling as rainfall associated with a tropical wave has triggered flash flooding in low lying areas.
Roads are not yet cleared but The Ministry of Infrastructure is working to clear roadways affected by the weather system. NEMO advised to avoid motor cyclists to go out and if it is unavoidable, they must take extreme precautions before going out. It is a matter of concern for the people living in the low lying areas as these areas are affected largely by the tropical waves.
Tropical Storm Dorian continues to move away from Saint Lucia and the threats from the dangers from the system have diminished considerably.
The Met Services has ceased Tropical storm threats for Saint Lucia from 8:00 am today. As a consequence the Saint Lucia Meteorological Services will issue no more advisories on tropical storm Dorian. However, those who operate small crafts, are advised to remain in residents and port areas that are prone to flooding and landslides should continue to exercise caution. The Saint Lucia Meteorological Services will issue additional statements if the need arises.
Therefore as a result, the Prime Minister has approved the all clear for Saint Lucia effective 10:00 am. In that regard, workers are advised to determine time for reopening of their shops. In addition, it is recommended that employees confirm from their employers regarding reporting time for their job. The citizens are further advised to contact their job places regarding opening hours.
