PM Philip J Pierre interacts with Saint Lucian diaspora during UNGA sidelines
Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Philip J Pierre interacted with the diaspora during the sidelines of 78th UNGA Meeting.

Castries, Saint Lucia: Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Philip J Pierre interacted with the diaspora during the sidelines of 78th UNGA Meeting. He expressed his gratitude and love towards and each as well as every part of diaspora.
PM Pierre also expressed that he will always support the Saint Lucian diaspora. Additionally, he lauded them for their commitment and dedication towards their homeland.
Prime Minister took his official social media account to express his gratitude towards the community. He mentioned, “It was such a pleasure engaging Saint Lucians in the Diaspora today. I felt the love and care that you have for your country through your questions and desire to contribute positively to its development.”
He added, “Thank you for your unwavering commitment to our homeland and your support to this administration.”
Prime Minister Philip J Pierre further extended his thanks towards the host of the event – Consul General Jeremiah Hyacinth and his team.
His official social media post read, “Special thank you to Consul General Jeremiah Hyacinth and his team for curating such a memorable event.” The PM added, “Let us continue serving the people of Saint Lucia.”
The Prime Minister of Saint Lucia is currently in New York City, the United States of America to attend the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly. The session will be hosted from September 19 to 26, 2023.
Prime Minister left his country on September 17, 2023, along with his delegation who will be accompanying him throughout the tour.
As per the official schedule, PM Pierre will be addressed the General Assembly on September 22, 2023. During his address, he will emphasise the potentially life-threatening realities which are faced by Saint Lucia and other Small Island Developing States (SIDS) as the countries which are at the forefront of facing climate crisis.
Additionally, it has been mentioned that the Prime Minister will also meet participate in the high-level general debate. PM Philip J Pierre will also engage in the Climate Action Summit, which will be focusing of the global threat – climate change and its effects on planet.
The government of Saint Lucia has outlined that Dr Ernest Hilaire – Deputy Prime Minister, who also serves as the Minister of Tourism, Investment and Creative Industries, will be the Prime Minister in the absence of PM Philip J Pierre.
