The cricket teams of West Indies, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea have touched down at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport of Guyana for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. The management team of the airport welcomed all the players of the teams with great enthusiasm and excitement.

The players travelled to Guyana enjoyed their ride thoroughly which was filled with comfort and beautiful memories. Notably, Guyana is one of the six Caribbean nations who will be hosting the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. The cricket tournament symbolizes unity, sportsmanship and a celebration of Guyana’s unique and vibrant love for the game of cricket.

The very first game of ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will be played between West Indies and Papua New Guinea at the Guyana Providence Stadium. Therefore, the Cheddi Jagan International Airport is all set to witness the arrival of large number of visitors. The airport management has promised to implement a robust security plan with a vision to ensure a smooth and secure arrival experience for players, fans and all the visitors.

The CEO of Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Ramesh Ghir stated that they are maintaining close collaborations with the authorities and are making efforts to ensure appropriate plans are made to reduce any potential risk.

Moreover, all the upgrades and new installations has been made at the Guyana Providence Stadium in order to offer seamless experience to all the spectators. The tourism authority of Guyana is making continuous efforts with a vision to provide an unforgettable and memorable experience to all the travellers as well as players.

The update of the latest developments made in the stadium was unveiled by President of Guyana, Dr Irfaan Ali who shared few glimpses on his official social media account. He noted “Extensive development work is ongoing at the National Stadium, Providence, with at least 1000 new parking spaces and additional concession areas being created for the Guyana leg of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.”
