St Kitts and Nevis to host Americas Netball Men’s Netball Championship

St Kitts and Nevis is all set to host the Americas Netball Men’s Netball Championship from 12th – 18th September 2024. A total of eight teams will compete in the tournament against fierce competitors from across the globe in 2 great locations on the island nation.

The teams that will be participating in the competition include Antigua and Barbuda, England, Grenada, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, the United States of America, the hosts St Kitts and Nevis, and the defending champions, Jamaica.

The matches on the dates, September 12th, 14th, 16th and 17th will be held at PAM Tyson Netball Complex at 5:30 pm nightly. Meanwhile, the matches on the respective dates of September 13th, 15thand 18th, will be played at Cicely Grell-Hull Dora Steven Netball Complex at 5:00 pm nightly.

All interested citizens can watch the netball championship from all over the world with their teams competing against each other at just $10 for adults and $5 for children per night.

The teams have started heading to St Kitts and Nevis for the exciting and thrilling matches of the Netball Championship. The championship serves as the driving force behind the growth and development of netball worldwide.

This Championship also plays a huge role in creating a platform for all the netball enthusiasts to engage with the sport, while unity communities for positive change. In this competition, the English team will also participate however they will not be eligible to compete for the grand winner’s trophy.

The Americas Netball Men’s Netball Championship will also serve as a qualifier for the Central Americas Caribbean Games which has been scheduled to take place in Santo Domingo in 2026. The top five teams from this tournament will be advanced to the 2026 games in Santo Domingo.

It is a multi-sport regional championship event which is held once every four years typically in the middle year between Summer Olympics. This competition gives a platform to several athletes to showcase their skills, talent and abilities and represent their nation on an international platform.

Moreover, the Minister of Sport, Samal Duggins extended welcome to the public to visit St Kitts and Nevis to support their team in the quest for the championship. While sharing the information of the championship on his official Facebook account, he stated that Americans Netball Men’s Championship has come to the shores of the island nation.

He stated that this championship is a great platform to give players an opportunity to foster better relations with other sports person from different nations, learn new techniques and form well-established relations.

Minister Samal Duggins asked all the citizens to bring their flags, energy, and cheers to Team SKN as they are aiming for victory on their home soil.

Notably, the inaugural Americas Netball Men’s Championship was held in 2022 at Arnos Vale Sporting Complex of the St Vincent and the Grenadines and was won by the Jamaica Netball team.
