Sir Vivian Richards meet Team India, excited to see Rishabh Pant back on field

Sir Vivian Richards, one of the greatest cricketers of all time met Team India and praised them for their exceptional display of game in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. He also expressed his excitement to see Rishabh Pant back on the field and hit the bowlers with his bat after going through a life-threatening accident.

Sir Vivian Richards took to his Instagram account and shared his pictures hugging Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant. He stated that if West Indies team couldn’t able to make it to the world cup, then he will be rooting for team India and pray for their victory.

“Team India, you have a good thing going. If the guys in marron don’t get it done, I will be backing you. Great to see Pant back on the field,” noted Sir Vivian Richards.

Notably, Rishabh Pant experienced a disastrous car crash on 30th December 2022 while driving from Delhi to his homeplace. Following that incident, Pant sustained severe injuries including cuts on his forehead, ligament, a tear in his right knee and abrasions on his back. Along with that Pant also mentioned in some of his interview that his right leg was also dislocated and it had to be put back in its place.

After the accident, a huge concern and doubts were raised among the cricket fans about whether the player would ever be able to come back to the cricket field. But the player vanished all those doubts with his exceptional comeback and his current performance in the tournament. He has been exceptionally commendable with his bat and wicket-keeping skills. Recently, he created a milestone and made the record for the maximum number of dismissals in a single edition of T20 World Cup.

His performance has also been lauded by Sir Viv Richards who has called Rishabh Pant’s performance as one of the greatest comebacks of all time.

Team India has recently faced a massive victory of 50 runs against Bangladesh and will clash against Australia today. If the team wins, then they will make their place in the Semis of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. Moreover, till now India has played five games and have won 4 with no result declared in one game.
