Shajunee Gumbs will serve as General Manager of Dreamy Floral, Décor Bar Ltd

St Kitts and Nevis: Shajunee Gumbs will be the new General Manager of Dreamy Floral and Decor Bar Ltd. Dreamy Floral and Decor Bar Ltd is an event decor, floral design, and Rental Company located at the Koi Building on Airport Road in St Kitts. The announcement was made on Monday, May 30, 2022.

The company provides its service to residents of both islands of our Federation. Gumbs will aid the Managing Director in developing the business and overseeing marketing campaigns, amongst other critical activities of the company. Shajunee Gumbs is from the Old Road community of St Kitts. Gumbs is a vibrant individual who has displayed essential characteristics such as leadership, reliability, and goal orientation that will be beneficial for the company’s development over the years.

Gumbs has been employed at Dreamy Floral and Decor Bar Ltd. since December 2016. She served in the position of Marketing Officer before embarking on her university journey at the University of the West Indies, Mona. While there, she pursued a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Integrated Marketing Communication, focusing on Advertising and Social Marketing.

Gumbs occupied an esteemed position on the Faculty of Humanities and Education Dean’s Honour Roll. She was an associate of the school’s volleyball team, Humanities and Education Mentor, and a part of the Guild of Students as Leslie Robinson Hall’s Chairperson. Gumbs is no stranger to leadership. Before leaving St Kitts and Nevis to pursue a university education, she was the co-founder and president of the St Kitts Nevis Comprehensive Disaster Management Youth Ambassadors, established in 2017.

She represented our Federation as a St Kitts National Youth Parliamentarian at the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association’s 13th Regional Youth Parliament Sitting of the Caribbean, the Americas and the Atlantic Region Youth Parliament Sitting in 2017.

“I am honoured to have this new position,” says Gumbs, “I am eager to utilize what I have learned, whether through school or mere interaction while at UWI. I am truly grateful.”

Gumbs lives by two mottos “Be the change you wish to see in the world” by Mahatma Gandhi and “Youth Making a Difference.”

Shajunee Gumbs’ passions include Digital Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, and Branding. Gumbs wishes to encourage the youth of the nation to chase their dreams and remember always to have a goal and aim high. She invites them to share her view that “the sky is not the limit; it’s just the beginning.”
