Cape Air launches inaugural flight to St Kitts, strengthening regional connections

Cape Air launched its inaugural flight to St Kitts by officially landing at Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport on Saturday.

These newly introduced services by Cape Air will strengthen the connections between St Kitts, Nevis and St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands, enhancing travel options for both locals and visitors.

Grand Welcoming Ceremony

The first-ever flight of Cape Air to St Kitts was celebrated with a grand water cannon salute. Following that, a welcome ceremony was held at the Kayan Jet Lounge.

This occasion was attended by several government officials including Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Denzil Douglas, Minister of Tourism, Marsha Henderson, other tourism officials and Cape Air executives.

All the attendees highlighted the significance of new connection between St Kitts, Nevis and US Virgin Islands and said that it would play a vital link in fostering the regional ties between both the nations.

Four flights per week

The flight services by Cape Air will be facilitated four times a week on every Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, offering timely options for inter-island travel.

  • Nevis (Departure Time: 8:30 am) – St Kitts (Arrival Time: 8:40 am)
  • St Kitts (Departure Time: 6:35 pm) – Nevis (Arrival Time: 6:45 pm)
  • St Kitts (Departure Time: 9:40 am) – St Thomas (Arrival Time: 10:45 am)
  • St Thomas (Departure Time: 4:44 pm) – St Kitts (Arrival Time: 5:49 pm)

Minister Marsha Henderson on new launched service by Cape Air

Shedding light on the newly expanded route between St Kitts and Nevis and USVI, Minister Marsha Henderson said that it would play a significant role in strengthening economic and cultural links between the destinations.

She added that these enhanced services would increase accessibility for the diaspora, making it easier for St Kitts nationals abroad to reconnect with their homeland.

The Minister further continued to say that these new services by Cape Air is a testament to their commitment towards enhancing connectivity for St Kitts and Nevis.

She also highlighted about the partnership between Cape Air and St Kitts and Nevis and said that they are committed to make the country more accessible to travellers within the region and beyond.

She added that this new route between St Kitts and Nevis and USVI is expected to play a huge role in boosting the tourism sector of the country. Along with that, it will also create several business opportunities in the Federation, solidifying its position as a premier destination for all the travellers.

CEO Linda Markham on newly introduced route

The CEO and President of Cape Air, Linda Markham also expressed her excitement and enthusiasm on the newly introduced route between St Kitts and Nevis and USVI. He added that this marks a new chapter for both Cape Air and the beautiful island of St Kitts.
