St Kitts and Nevis received two inaugural cruise calls, including Norwegian Prima and Virgin Voyages’ Resilient Lady to Port Zante on Thursday.
These cruise vessels brought collectively 6000 enthusiastic passengers who explored the rich cultural heritage, natural beauty and iconic attractions of the Federation such as the St. Kitts Scenic Railway and the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park.
Captain, crew members and all the passengers on board the vessels were warmly welcomed by the tourism authority, who called their arrival a ‘significant boom’ for the tourism sector of the country.
Minister Marsha Henderson on inaugural cruise calls
Minister Marsha Henderson said that two inaugural cruise calls to St Kitts and Nevis on the same day marks a significant milestone for the country. She added that these visit by Norwegian Prima and Resilient Lady shed light on the growing reputation of the country among international visitors.
The Minister said that they are looking forward to welcoming more inaugural cruise calls to the country, aiming to provide the visitors with more authentic and unforgettable experiences.
The Minister said that they are committed to strengthen the position of the country in order to make it a must-visit stop on the world’s most prestigious itineraries.
Minister of Tourism, Marsha Henderson on Norwegian Prima
Shedding light on the inaugural visit of Norwegian Prima, Minister Marsha Henderson said that its arrival is a remarkable highlight of their dynamic cruise season. She called this vessel, a ‘masterpiece’ of modern cruising which offers unparalleled experiences to all their visitors.
She aimed at fostering the relation with the vessel and said that they are looking forward to welcome more calls of Norwegian Prima to the island nation.
She further highlighted about its partnership with Norwegian Cruise Line and said that it is a testament to their enduring appeal as a destination of choice.

Norwegian Prima is a perfect combination of luxury, innovation, and adventure. The vessel has the capacity to accommodate around 3,099 guests and 1,506 crew members.
