Saint Lucia: HelpAWS, the animal welfare organisation of Castries in Saint Lucia, introduced four new babies who entered the shelter together. “For these four baby girls, the world just turned upside down. Born to a mama whose family lives close by the shelter, these precious littles were waiting for us in a cardboard box,” the organisation stated while introducing the small pups.
HelpAWS post furthermore mentioned, “It’s the first time they’ve been separated from their mommy, but for the best, as they were running in the streets, nearly being hit by cars. They were understandably scared and confused, their tiny bodies trembling as we weighed them and got them settled into a pen.”
It also informed that the owner didn’t want to give up their mom, but it promised to have her spayed, so she doesn’t have to endure any future pregnancies or the medical complications that come from remaining intact.
According to the statement by the shelter providing organisation, as for these four beauties that are now part of the HelpAWS family, they will very quickly realize they are now on the path to a much better existence. Starting with their first meal at the shelter, these girls will never have to go hungry or scrounge through trash for something to eat. They won’t be plagued with mange or parasites, and they will never feel the loneliness of being an outcast. As of today, their future is infinitely brighter than it ever could have been having they not been brought into the shelter. “For that, we are thankful!” it added.
While inviting people to adopt the dogs, HelpAWS added, “Now comes the task of getting them healthy and adjusted to their new life, which takes time, money and resources. If you would like to help offset the cost of care for these deserving ladies, donations can be sent to donate@helpaws.com using e-transfer, PayPal or Zelle or to @helpaws using Venmo. We truly appreciate and value the support!”
