Ringing jingles in Dominica, Vince Henderson to host Kiddies Christmas party 

Roseau, Dominica: Dr. Vince Henderson – Parliamentary representative for the Grand Bay constituency and Minister for Planning, Economic Development, Climate Resilience, Sustainable development and Renewable Energy of Dominica presents a Christmas party under name Grand Bay Kiddies Christmas Party on December 22 (Friday) at Youth Centre Grounds.

The Christmas party will offer a great joy to the children of the region for three hours from 3 pm to 6 pm. There will be a lot of fun activities involved in the venue which include face painting, games, music, gifts and a lot more.

Looking a year back, Kiddies Christmas Party was hosted by the minister on December 18, 2022 where Minister, Vince Henderson welcomed and greeted the children and other attendees. The event was filled with an extreme fun offering all the musical vibes by DJ EBOO.

As this year, the announcement for games and gifts is made. Similarly, the children were offered with exciting gifts and games like musical chairs and Christmas Carols. Not only this, the skill based games as well were arranged.

Most importantly, the children from the constituency were given access to the teachings of Lord Jesus to inculcate the spirit of thanksgiving to God. Such an action also included the story telling of the birth of Jesus Christ and the significance of Christmas.

Probing ahead, Melissa Skerrit – Minister of Housing, Land and Urban Development inaugurated the Roseau Christmas Village at Botanic Gardens, Roseau where many of the events are being hosted by her on a regular basis. And, the inaugural ceremony included music, entertainment, gift shops, local crafts, food and beverage, kids fun zone and much more.

The celebrations in the country give all the essence of ringing jingle bells and spreading the vibes of festivities with great pleasure. The celebrations at the Christmas village had Kiddies Christmas Affair, Shine like a Star Programme, Under the Mistle Toe, Gospel concerts etc.

Considerably, each event at the village is held by keeping in mind different age groups:

• Kiddies Christmas Affair for kids
• Under the Mistle Toe for couples

And, the gospel concerts offer great joy to all the natives and the tourists.
