Return of Anse La Raye Fish Fry festival, people show excitement

The Anse La Raye community was thrilled to share the return of Anse La Raye Fish Fry on the scenic Front Street on Friday with delicious grilled fish to juicy and meaty lobster.

Castries, Saint Lucia: The Anse La Raye community was thrilled to share the return of the Anse La Raye Fish Fry on the scenic Front Street on Friday. The event turned out a huge success and provided a new and memorable experience for locals and tourists.

All the citizens and visitors received a warm welcome with open arms to participate in this cultural festival, where the warmth of the community is as enjoyable as the flavours on offer.

The event was collaborated by the Anse La Raye Vendor Association, the Anse La Raye Constituency Council and the Community Tourism Agency. The Fish Fry event showcased a variety of mouth-watering delicacies, unique charm and warm hospitality.

With this in mind, cordial hospitality was typical of the west coast community of Anse la Rey. This provided an opportunity for the CTA as it began training in customer service, marketing and health and safety.

Various renowned industry professionals and officials of government were present during the training course. It included AIM, the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, the Saint Lucia Fire Service and the Ministry of Health.

Further, the Community Travel Agency focuses on improving basic accommodations and promoting sustainable and inclusive economic development through community-based tourism activities.

Glimpses of the event

The aroma of the warm seafood filled the air with its flavours which united the participants in the lively atmosphere of this coastal village.

People enjoyed fresh dishes prepared by experienced chefs, showcasing the culinary specialties of Saint Lucia. The program served everything from delicious grilled fish to juicy and meaty lobster.  The bounty-crafted and ice-cold Piton beer enhanced the beauty of the sunset.

Additionally, citizens participated in their country’s 45th Independence Day celebrations. As the Fish Fry Festival begins, the event is scheduled to take place on the last Friday of each month and aims to re-evaluate and make adjustments where necessary and consider feedback from key stakeholders and patrons.

The return of Anse La Rey Fish Fry invited everyone to this moment, and it guaranteed a relaxed and chilling atmosphere focused on food, culture and community.  It is worth noting that the beach turns into an atmosphere of relaxation and satisfaction.

Moreover, the visitors and participants enjoyed steamed fish, seasonal seafood like lobster and red snapper with many drinks and music.
