Rachel Silvera to represent Jamaica at Miss Universe 2024
A 25-year-old Rachel Silvera, old pharmacy student and entrepreneur was crowned Miss Universe Jamaica 2024 and is all set to represent the vibrant culture and traditions of her country at the 73rd Miss Universe Pageant in Mexico.

Jamaica: A 25-year-old Rachel Silvera, old pharmacy student and entrepreneur was crowned Miss Universe Jamaica 2024 and is all set to represent the vibrant culture and traditions of her country at the 73rd Miss Universe Pageant in Mexico.
She defeated 32 other contestants in order to claim the crown of Miss Jamaica Universe 2024. By her glamour, charm and elegance, she has not only emerged victorious but also won over the hearts and minds of the audience and judges.
Following her remarkable victory, Rachel Silvera expressed gratitude to God and stated that she is overjoyed and extremely humbled to be crowned the Miss Universe Jamaica 2024. For the same, she extended gratitude to the organisers, judges and her fellow contestants for bestowing her with this incredible opportunity.
Silvera was also the first runner-up in the 2022 Miss Universe Jamaica competition. Silvera has always been passionate advocate for environmental sustainability and mental health awareness. Footprints Jamaica, her organisation is geared towards the development and urbanisation of rural communities while maintaining sustainability.
She has also initiated several crucial projects like 876PlanetJa with a vision to support the Teen Challenge Women’s Centre and spearheaded mangrove cleanup efforts. She is currently dedicated to SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities and now leading a major park development project in rural St. Catherine/St. Mary which symbolizes her dedication to a sustainable future.
And, with her participation at the 73rd edition of Miss Universe, she is aiming to promote the rich cultural heritage of Jamaica at the universal stage. She also aimed to inspire several young ladies who aims to represent their country on an international platform.
Moreover, the director of the pageant also extended wishes to Rachel and stated that they are thrilled that she will be representing their nation on such a huge platform. They also stated that her unwavering dedication, passion, and commitment to empowering women and girls make her an exceptional ambassador for Jamaica.
