Marva Williams appointed as new CEO of Discover Dominica authority
Marva Williams has been announced as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Discover Dominica Authority.

Roseau, Dominica: Marva Williams has been announced as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Discover Dominica Authority. She will commence her services as the newly appointed CEO from 1st August 2024.
Following her election as the new CEO, Williams expressed her excitement and stated that she is truly excited to return to the Discover Dominica Authority in this new position. She stated that she is looking forward to working with the team in order to develop the tourism sector of Dominica to greater heights.
While expressing her enthusiasm on starting the work, she stated that she is eager to lead the promotion, development and regulation of the tourism industry with a vision to drive socio-economic activity and create a wide range of opportunities for the wider population.
She also promised that in her new role, she will be instrumental in setting the strategic direction of the Discover Dominica Authority in order to enhance the global tourism presence of the island nation and promote sustainable growth in the sector. She further noted that she will focus on driving digital marketing initiatives to position Dominica as a premier travel destination and forging partnerships with key stakeholders in the travel and tourism industry.
Moreover, the Tourism Minister of Dominica, Denise Charles also congratulated Marva Williams and stated that they are thrilled to welcome her to the team. She appreciated her passion and innovative approaches and stated that it would work as a valuable asset to the authority. The Minister further noted that she is exceptionally confident that under the leadership and brilliant approaches of Marva, Dominica will be able to achieve its goal of 500,000 stay-over visitors and 1 million cruise visitors by 2030.
