Kieran Powell selected for Betway test match against South Africa
Kieran Powell has been selected as the part of the West Indies Men’s 13- member team

Nevisian Kieran Powell has been selected as the part of the West Indies Men’s 13- member team that will play the first Betway test match against South Africa. The Cricket West Indies Selection Panel has made this announcement.
Roger Harper, the lead selector of the panel, said that Kieran Powell is the player we know who is a very capable batsman, and we expect him to add more quality and depth to the batting unit of the team. He always put himself in the mix with his performance in the best match.
Kieran Powell is 31 years old left-handed batsman and experienced player. He played his last match against Bangladesh in 2018. He joined the team in test matches against England and Pakistan
Due to Powell aggressive stroke play for which he is known in 2020 when he got in the team of St. Kitts and Nevis patriots of the Hero Caribbean Premier League.
Premier of Nevis Mark Brantley supported the young sportsman on his selection to the West Indies team for the forthcoming test and said that all of Nevis was proud of him.
Premiere of Nevis Mark Brantley said that he extends his heartiest congratulations to Kieran and wish him every success. When he succeeds, all of Nevis succeeds.
Evelyn, Minister of Sports in the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) also paid his greetings to Powell.
That heartiest congratulation to Kieran Powell for being selected in the West Indies test team for the Betway Series being played against South Africa.
Evelyn said, “Congratulations from the Ministry of Sports, the Empire Sports Club and all of Nevis. We are proud of you and are very happy that you have made it back to the West Indies. Best wishes for the Betway Series. Go out and represent us well.”
The 1st match of the Betway Test Series against the team of South Africa is going to be played in St. Lucia at the chosen venue that is Daren Sammy Cricket Ground on June 10-14.
