Jamaican PM Andrew Holness, Japanese Ambassador Discuss Development and Trade
Prime Minister of Jamaica Andrew Holness recently met with the Ambassador of Japan to Jamaica – Atsumi Yasuhiro.

Kingston, Jamaica: Prime Minister of Jamaica Andrew Holness recently met with the Ambassador of Japan to Jamaica – Atsumi Yasuhiro. During the meeting, various key sectors, including development and trade, were discussed.
PM Holness outlined that this meeting was important to strengthen the diplomatic ties between Japan and the Caribbean country of Jamaica.
Prime Minister of Jamaica shared the update regarding the meeting and noted, “Jamaica and Japan have a history of cooperating that spans various sectors, from trade and investment to culture and technology.”
He furthermore shared a glimpse and informed the attendees of the meeting. Prime Minister Holness outlined, “This morning, I met with the Ambassador of Japan to Jamaica, Mr Atsumi Yasuhiro, Secretary-General for the LDP in the House of Councillors, Former Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Mr SEKO Hiroshige and his delegation.”
While emphasising the need to strengthen the relations between both countries to build values and mutual respect, “Our meeting today reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to enhance bilateral relations that have been built on shared values and mutual respect,” the social media post by PM Holness noted.
It added, “As we move forward, we seek to further explore opportunities for collaboration in areas such as trade and investment, climate change and technology.”
It is worth noting that Prime Minister Andrew Holness has been working tirelessly to strengthen diplomatic ties and bilateral relations with other international countries. PM Holness actively visits the leaders and ministers of nations to bolster the inter-relations.
