After a long hiatus due to COVID-19 pandemic, the LATAM Airlines is all set to make a grand return to Montego Bay, Jamaica, with flights from Lima, Peru.
The flight will offer non-stop services, thrice a week to Jamaica, effective from 1st December, 2024. These services will be provided on the days including Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, making it accessible and easier for the visitors to travel between Peru and Jamaica.
The air carrier will operate on this route using Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft, with passenger capacity of around 144 and 174 seats respectively.
The airline had last offered its services to Jamaica in December 2019 and January-February 2020 before the halt due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Shedding light on the resumption of the services between Peru and Jamaica, the tourism authority said that it has been designed with a vision to provide convenient and affordable travel options.
They noted that these flight services are great option for travellers who are looking forward to discover the pristine beaches, lush rainforests and rich cultural heritage of Jamaica.
Celebration of the returning flight to Jamaica
Emphasizing on the return flight of LATAM to the island nation, the Jamaica Tourist Board said that they are aiming to welcome a large number of travellers to the country.
They ensured to organize a grand welcoming ceremony in order to make the return flight of largest airline in Latin America to Jamaica, ‘unforgettable’.
The tourism authority expressed their desire of offering a plethora of experiences to all their passengers, providing them an opportunity to explore various hotspots and vibrant offerings of the country.
Tourism Minister, Edmund Bartlett on LATAM expanded services
The Tourism Minister of Jamaica, Edmund Bartlett said that these new services reaffirmed their commitment to improving connectivity and fostering the tourism sector in the region.
He added that these services will play a pivotal role which will not only boost the tourism sector but will also enhance the economy of the country.
Showcasing the best of Jamaica
The Tourism Authority of Jamaica shared their vision of displaying, showcasing and offering the best of the country to all their visitors. The tourism authority noted that they are committed to promote the vibrant culture and traditions of the country.
They further went on to appreciate the offerings of the country and said that Jamaica has something to offer to all their visitors. “From breathtaking beaches to lush rainforests, Jamaica is the place that offers an experience like no other.”
“This new thrice-weekly service makes it easier than ever for travellers to experience the magic of Jamaica,” said Sangster International Airport.
