Fatal shooting in Vieux Fort claims lives of three, injures many

The Saint Lucia Police Force reported three incidents of fatal shootings in different areas of Vieux Fort on Thursday, which left the citizens fearing for their security and safety. The officers have launched an investigation regarding the multiple gun violence.
The first shooting took place at around 7:50 pm at the West Hall Group in Vieux Fort, where seven people became the victims of fatal gunshots. All of them suffered several injuries and the police took them to the medical facility.
Noting this, their treatment is currently ongoing but unfortunately, two of them succumbed to their injuries. One of them was identified as Quincy Mathurin of 23-years-old. He was also known as ‘One Shot’ and a resident of Cedar Heights in Vieux Fort.
Furthermore, another person, who died due to gunshots was recognised as Edley Celise and he resided at Martin Luther King Street at Vieux Street. The scene was described by the eyewitnesses who recalled the horrifying scenes to emergency medical technicians.
It is to be noted that people experienced numerous incidents in Vieux Fort. Recently, the investigating officers recorded a murder case of 23-year-old Jeffery Junior Mc, who became the victim of homicide.
As per the reports, he received multiple injuries to his body due to a fatal gunshot. The officers found the victim lying motionless on the ground.
Additionally, the Saint Lucia police reported another shooting case at West Hall Group at Vieux Fort. The person identified as Jeffery Junior Mc Farlene. The officials recovered his body and taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead.
Moreover, the public urged the authorities to implement strict rules and take serious action against the criminals. The people of the Federation are definitely in a state of fear as they are experiencing such stances of crimes on every alternative day.
Noting this, the prime minister of Saint Lucia addressed the people and expressed his commitment and dedication to curbing the criminal activities in the nation.
