Dominica: Sylvanie Burton brings recognition to Dominica by being among top 10 Caribbean leaders
Sylvanie Burton, President of Dominica on bagging 10th spot in the list of Caribbean Global Leaders 2024.

                                                    Roseau, Dominica: Sylvanie Burton, President of Dominica, brought recognition to the country as she is named among the top Caribbean Global Leaders for 2024 by the Caribbean Global Awards. She got the 10th spot on the list.
There have been two people at the 10th spot, the other one is an actor, Michel Reinette from Guadeloupe. The first spot has been bagged by the President of Guyana, Dr Mohammed Irfaan Ali. He received 609 votes in the People’s Choice category. The list of the leaders for the awards was announced last week. This included various Caribbean leaders positioned as per the votes they received.
Dominican President, Sylvanie Burton who as well is the part of this list who was elected in October 2023 and has been serving with great dedication to the country. She is the one who became the first female and first Kalinago based President. She gained this position with 20 votes from assembly members.
She with her strategic approach has been contributing dedicatedly for the development of the country. As, she is from Kalinago territory, has also served as permanent secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Rural modernization, Kalinago upliftment and constituency empowernment.
Even, the times she took oath as a president, presented the futuristic vision for the country that can take it to the heights. And, now, she being in the list of Best Caribbean Leaders speaks of all her workings towards the growth of the nation.
Moreover, she has worked as a development officer in the Ministry of Kalinago Affairs and was positioned as a District Development Officer (DDO). Not only this, Sylvanie Burton also has 25 years of experience as a justice of the peace and has served for more than 20 years as an associate in the Roman Catholic Church.
Her work and contributions have brought significant recognition that proves the administration of the country at the top level.
