Roseau, Dominica: The Leader of the United Workers Party, Lennox Linton, is not leaving any stone unturned to disrupt the ongoing development in the country. Speaking at a local show, he was heard saying that he will make all the necessary efforts to halt the construction of the new international airport.
Linton’s latest statements shows that his continuous attempts to defame Dominica knows no limits. The opposition leader was also heard saying that he would even go to the court if needed in order to stop the construction of the new international airport project.
“We need a declaration from the court, so Dr Fontaine has indicated we are going to court. We have been at this for quite a few years now, but we are at a stage, as he has indicated, that we have retained counsel,” he stated.
This clearly showcases Linton’s cruel motives to get on the top but every time the allegations made by the UWP leader turns out to be baseless as he fails to provide proof against his made-up claims.
A source also revealed that the United Workers Party is bringing a conjunction in the court to halt the construction of the International Airport.

Over the years, after Dominica began its recovery from Hurricane Maria as well as Tropical Storm Erica, the United Workers Party lost all their arguments, and now they are after the development of the island. Instead of arguing and providing relevant points, Linton has been causing disruption and barriers to the growth of the island.
It is to be noted that for decades now, Dominica has been suffering from a lack of a functional international airport which is capable of handling long-haul flights and when the government is working rapidly towards the construction process, the opposition is making all the attempts to halt it and disrupt the country’s economy.
Hundreds and thousands of people across the island as well as the Dominican diaspora have been eagerly awaiting for easy connectivity to the Nature Isle through an international airport capable to receive long-haul flights. But, Lennox Linton and his team wants the total opposite and aims to become a significant barrier in the overall construction process.
The critics have also said that if the opposition becomes successful in putting a halt in the constriction of the international airport, it will impact Dominica and its economy very negatively and will be the last things to happen in the country.
Earlier, the United Workers Party always pointed out fingers on whether or not the International Airport would ever come back to life and now that it is coming to reality, the UWP is trying to stop it.
