International Airport of Dominica, after completion, will function as a bridge between prominent countries like the US, UK and Europe, as well as the small island country – Dominica. Visitors from around the world will have even easier access to truly experience the island known as the Caribbean’s best-kept secret.

The Government of Dominica has joined hands with the United Arab Emirates-based organisation Montreal Management Consultants Est (MMCE) to complete this highly-anticipated international airport. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on June 9, 2021. This project will be completed in “five phases”.

During the contract signing ceremony, Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, said, “The international airport project has been at the forefront of development talks for over three decades; the government went through conducting various studies and finalized Wesley as the ideal location.”

This signing was another step towards rebuilding the nation after its devastation in 2017 due to Hurricane Maria.

Citizenship by Investment Programme of Dominica

Dominica’s Citizenship by Investment Programme is one of the oldest CBIP provided by the Caribbean country; this programme is pivotal for the nation’s development. The funds generated by the programme have been used for the upliftment of sectors, from healthcare to tourism to aviation.

The investments have positively impacted all sectors of Dominican society; for around three decades, under the CBI Programme, Dominica has welcomed foreign investors to become the citizens by making financial contributions either through the Economic Diversification Fund or the purchase of the real estate.

The Economic Diversification Fund (EDF) has been fully contributing in the rehabilitation of the country. It provides funds to the projects of both sectors – public as well as private in Dominica.

On the other side, Real Estate option contributes in the construction of Five-Star resorts and hospitality industry.
