Castries, Saint Lucia: HelpAWS, Saint Lucia-based dog shelter, has recently shared the welcoming story of four little pups to the organisation. Along with this, it also expressed concern about less space in the shelter.

HelpAWS started its message and conveyed, “A new day brings a new litter. We received a new little of four made up of three girls and one boy.”

It added that, like most of the pups that come through their doors, the owner was no longer able to take care of them. Thankfully they reached out to the organisation, and its volunteers were able to take them in.

“At HelpAWS, we always talk about the importance of doing what’s right and best for your animals and sadly sometimes that means you have to give them up, knowing they will be in better hands. It’s a tough decision for owners who truly care about the well-being of their animals but they know that in asking for help they’re also doing what’s best for them,” it outlined through its social media post.

While lauding the people who adopt the little pups and dogs HelpAWS noted, “We admire the individuals who try their best to take care of these babies, as we’ve seen on island those are very few and far between. It restores hope for us that there are good people in the world who care about these animals.”

Further, it assured to be there for each and every pup on the island country and highlighted that it would take care of them until they do not get them forever home. “Like with so many others, we promise to take care of these babies and be by their side every step of the way until they find their forever homes,” it stated.

In conclusion, HelpAWS asked for donations and support. It mentioned that interested people could consider donating via Etransfer, PayPal or Zelle to donate@helpaws.com or Venmo to @helpaws.
