Castries, Saint Lucia: HelpAWS appeals general public to become foster and adopt pups to give them a home and better lifestyle.

“Are you looking for a sidekick, companion, or furry best friend?” asked the organisation.

As per the social media update by the dog shelter, HelpAWS currently has so many flight parents in the coming month that are able to bring our babies to Canada, and whilst that is absolutely amazing, we have nowhere for them to go.

Applications are at an all-time low, and our shelter is filled to the brim, with new babies coming in almost every other day. Many ask about the length of time fostering a pup will take, but truth be told, it can be anywhere from some days to some weeks, it informed.

Being a Foster allows our pups to be able to acclimate to the new climate and home environment. Foster homes also allow the pups to grow their confidence and learn new tricks, which they will take with them to their new families.

“We express pleasure to those who open their doors to help us, and most importantly, these babies, in their journey. Our fosters come in all shapes and sizes, but all share a thing in common, which is being these babies first stepping stone if they haven’t found their forever families. If you have ever considered fostering, this is your sign,” it stated.

It continued, “We are in need of committed fosters who have open availability. Fostering is not always easy, especially when it’s time to say goodbye, but the payoff is huge when you see the pups grow in confidence and end up in their happily ever after.”

While appealing for support, HelpAWS noted, “If any of you is interested in fostering one of our babies, please DM us on our Instagram or Facebook or fill in an application on our website www.Helpaws.com/foster.”
