Berto Dorcé was sworn in as the new Justice Minister of Haiti. He promised to give his service to establish a strong, independent, efficient justice system.
Amid the turmoil situation on the island, Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry has appointed his new Cabinet, who was sworn in on Wednesday. 
Amid the rising gang violence in Haiti, its traditional international jazz festival has been postponed; the event organisers informed the general public. Although, the date to which the festival has been postponed has not been yet announced by the Haiti Jazz Foundation (who organises the festival). 
Two among the 17 US and Canadian missionaries who were abducted by the Haitian gang has been now released safely. However, the identities of the freed have not been revealed yet.  
Haiti has been elected to the Executive Council of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization - UNESCO for 2021-2025, cited the Permanent Delegate of the island to the international organization - Dominique Dupuy.  
One of the suspects, a former Haitian policeman - Gilbert Dragon, who was arrested in the assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moise, died in custody, probably due to the COVID-19 virus. 
Another suspect (Samir Handal) in the assassination case of Haitian President Jovenel Moise was detained by the Turkish authorities, the Foreign Minister of Haiti - Claude Joseph, noted on late Monday.
Prime Minister Ariel Henry is requesting the Organization of American States - (OAS) to assist the most impoverished island of the Caribbean region in tackling the uprising gang violence and crime.
Haitian gang leader - Jimmy Barbecue Cherizier stated that he is temporary lifting the blockade of fuel terminals, which led to the severe fuel shortage in the island country.
The United States government has requested its citizens to leave Haiti as the Caribbean country witnesses deepening insecurity and suffers fuel crisis which has affected the operations of schools, hospitals and banks.
