Castries, Saint Lucia: HelpAWS, the animal welfare organisation and dog shelter of Saint Lucia, asked people across the world to join hands and support the shelter.
“Are you looking for a way to help our shelter? Maybe you’re unable to rescue a pup or donate but would love to take part in making a difference. If this sounds like you, then we would love your help as a volunteer! Currently, we are looking for help in a few areas, including our events team, bio writing, website and fundraising!” wrote the animal welfare organisation.
It further added that if an individual has a knack for planning and making things happen, the organisation would love to have people join their events team. Not only would that help in spreading awareness for the organisation, but it would also help with donations to continue to assist all of the stray and neglected animals on the island.
“You also get to meet a few of our amazing alumni pups and to see and learn so much more about what we do from their wonderful adopters!” the social media outlined.
HelpAWS added, “If you want to help write some adorable pup bios and to be a voice for these babies to help them find their forever homes, then we’d love you for our bio team! Or maybe you’re great with online and website work… our website team is calling you!”
The organisation added that if one would love to help with fundraising and working towards supporting animal welfare, the fundraising team is also a great option.
“We are always looking for help and new ideas. Volunteering for our shelter is not only helping us make an impact, but it is also extremely rewarding, knowing that you’re making a difference for our pups; without the help of our many dedicated volunteers, we couldn’t continue to do the work that we do,” the organisation mentioned.
HelpAWS concluded, “If you or someone you know would love to be one of our amazing volunteers, then please visit our website for more information and to fill out an application at www.Helpaws.com/volunteer. Our puppies and humans will be forever grateful.”
