HelpAWS appeals to Saint Lucians, foreigners to adopt pups!

Castries, Saint Lucia: HelpAWS, a dog shelter working for the betterment of animals and dogs in Saint Lucia, has recently raised concerns related to “no space” in the organisation. This message was conveyed by the organisation through the social media account.

It outlined, “We have had so many new puppies come in over the past couple of weeks and again, we are filled beyond capacity! No matter what, we are committed to making sure whoever comes through our doors has a safe place they can call their own until they find their forever families.”

“We never hesitate when it comes to an animal in need. We will do everything that we can to make sure they’re healthy and happy and go on to live their best lives with their forever families when that time comes. There are no slow seasons in animal rescue. There are always going to be animals who need our help, 24hrs a day, 7 days a week,” HelpAWS added.

As per the organisation, it has had so many come through its doors that have gone through the worst of circumstances. Those that had probably already given up on life and some that still held out hope that something good would come to them.

So many of them are now ready to find their forever homes, and even though there are no slow days here at the shelter, the apps have dwindled, and pups are receiving little to no interest whatsoever, the post read.

While concluding the post, the organisation asked the people to support and come forward for adoption. It stated that “If you have ever considered extending your family and home to a furry pal, this is your sign to do so. We have so many babies who are just waiting for the opportunity to show you how amazing they are and how seamlessly they would fit into your family. All of our pups are so unique in their own way and every baby that comes through our doors has their own special personality and story.

All that comes into our arms are just looking for love, comfort and a place they can call home.
