Dominica’s Tourism Ministry awaits return of yacht enthusiast after Salty Dawg Caribbean rally
Dominica welcomed many yachts to its shores between the 1st of February and the 8th of February, 2024. It is to be noted that the Salty Dawg Caribbean rally was held with a one-week stop at the Prine Rupert Bay Portsmouth.

Dominica: The nation welcomed many yachts to its shores between the 1st of February and the 8th of February, 2024. It is to be noted that the Salty Dawg Caribbean rally was held with a one-week stop at the Prine Rupert Bay Portsmouth.
The Portsmouth Association of Yacht Security collaborated with the Salty Dawg Sailing Association from the USA to host the stay of the yacht enthusiasts. The enthusiasts were provided with the best possible facilities such as barbecue dinners, tours and thrilling Lionfish hunts.

Along with that, they were also offered numerous activities to engage with including, including community projects like house painting, food hampers distribution, tree planting and beach clean-up.
The week culminated with a Yachty appreciation dinner. The dinner was attended by Portsmouth Parliamentary Representative, Fenella Wenham and Portsmouth Tourism, Lisa Valmond.
Lisa Valmond also shed light on the importance of building partnerships for both new and returning yacht owners. This collaboration will also play a crucial role in offering a plethora of experiences to all the enthusiasts.
Furthermore, the Dominica Yachting Festival 2023 was a tremendous success, the administration is extremely positive about the 2024 Dominica Yachting Festival being an eventful experience.

The tourism authority of Dominica is expecting the return of enthusiasts for the Yachting Festival in March 2024.
The activities conducted in 2023 were a tour to syndicate nature, a hiking tour to the boiling lake, a northern Treasures tour, a lionfish and Seafood dinner, an Open Class Yacht Race, Beach games and fun day and many more.
Dominica’s tourism authority has extended a welcome to all the yacht enthusiasts for gracing the festival and has promised to offer various fun-filled activities for all the sailors.
Moreover, such kind of rallies are also great opportunities for the enthusiast to gain experience in sailing. It also plays a pivotal role in enhancing the health and well-being of the sailors. Such activities not only promote physical health but also improve the mental health condition of the people.
