2 Dominican teams to represent at Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association Beach Volleyball Tournament

Roseau, Dominica: The Dominica Amateur Volleyball Association expressed pleasure and pride of the two teams who left the country for its representation at the Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association Beach Volleyball Tournament in Saint Lucia.
While expressing its joy and pride, the association mentioned, “As the Dominica Amateur Volleyball Association looks to regain momentum locally and regionally, two teams left our shores yesterday to represent Dominica at the 2023 Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association Beach Volleyball Tournament in St Lucia.”
According to the Volleyball association, the training was intense but necessary to prepare for the tournament. “We wish them nothing but success, health and an injury-free tournament,” it stated while congratulating the players who will be representing the nation.
As per the update by the association, both teams are coached by Ray Robinson. It further informed that Women’s team will be led by Tarmeca Cabey and Nyla Edmund and Yahn Florent and Keaun Reefe will be skipper of the Men’s team.
Dominica Amateur Volleyball Association also shared highlights of the score of the matches. The score-update shared is as follows:
Men
DMA (w) vs GRN 2-0
LCA (w) vs DMA 2-0
Women
ANT (w) vs DMA 2-1
The official governing body for the sport of volleyball in the nation, Dominica Amateur Volleyball Association, earlier congratulated the winner of Miss Dominica 2023, who is the National Volleyball Player. “We were delighted to share this because our very own National Volleyball player Adicia Burton is Miss Dominica 2023! Talk about an all-rounder! We are so proud of you, Adi! Congratulations,” the organisation noted.
It further stated, “In addition to the crown, Adicia took home prizes for Best Performing Talent and Best Response to Question. You go, girl! The sky is the limit, and until then… See you on the court.”
