Trinidad and Tobago: CoP promotes five police officers to higher ranks

Trinidad and Tobago: Acting Commissioner of Police Mc Donald Jacob promoted five police officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) today. Four were promoted to the rank of Inspectors of Police, and one officer to the position of Corporal of Police.

The promotion ceremony took place at the Police Administration Building, Port of Spain, on Tuesday 26th April 2022, where one female officer was amongst the five officers promoted.

As he addressed the small gathering, Acting Commissioner Jacob congratulated the officers for having regard for the promotion process.

He noted that the promotions were taking place at the perfect time, given the transformational process that the TTPS is currently undergoing through the Strategic and Operational Plan 2022- 2024.

The Acting CoP said he expects the officers to be the leaders of change within the organisation as they carry out their new responsibilities.

CoP (Ag) Jacob also reminded the officers to be adaptable, have knowledge of the laws, and practice said laws to support the criminal justice system.

The event was attended by Assistant Commissioner of Police Joanne Archie, Superintendent Raymond Thom and Acting Assistant Superintendents of Police Sheridon Hill and President of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service Social and Welfare Association ASP (Ag) Gideon Dickson.

They encouraged the newly promoted officers to be leaders who take command of their respective offices by leading by example.
