Tourism Authority unveil guidelines for Dominica Bike Festival, prioritizing safety
As the island nation is gearing up for the Dominica Bike Festival 2024, the tourism authority of the country has shared the guidelines to be followed by all the participants, ensuring safety as their topmost priority.

Roseau, Dominica: As the island nation is gearing up for the Dominica Bike Festival 2024, the tourism authority of the country has shared the guidelines to be followed by all the participants, ensuring safety as their topmost priority.
Notably, the island nation will celebrate speed, stunts and spirit amidst Dominica’s breathtaking green mountains and vibrant culture. For the same, the Tourism Ministry has extended invitation to all the bike lovers to rev their engines because the festival is just few days away.
Therefore, the Tourism Authority of the island nation has given a reminder to the participants to gear up properly, wear their helmets, boots tight and ensure their every ride is safe and spectacular.
While sharing the guidelines, the authorities noted that it is necessary for every participant to wear a helmet. As it is the most critical piece of safety gear for motorcyclists. It protects the head from severe injuries and fatalities. They mentioned that it should be ce-certified and fit properly, ensuring their security.
Along with that, the Tourism Ministry also asked the motorcyclists to wear comfortable and fit boots. They noted that boots should have over-the-ankle protection, good grip and reinforcement to prevent crushing injuries.
“Whether you’re a rider or a spectator, it’s all about enjoying the thrill in the safest way possible,” noted Dominica Festivals.
The authorities also used the tag, “Helmet On, Ride On,” with a vision to ensure that all the motorcyclists in Dominica follow all these preventive measures and can enjoy every bit of the Dominica Bike Festival 2024.
The festival is a great platform for the island nation to showcase their offerings, including green mountains and the vibrant culture and traditions of the island nation. The festival will run through three days, effective from 19thJuly.
The festival will begin with a Welcome Ceremony and Stunt Showcase which will feature daring displays by local, regional and international riders at Roseau River Promenade. Following that, after party will be conducted on the same day at 8 pm at The Factory, Valley Road, Roseau.
In the following day, the attendees will get to enjoy Wheel’n and Wild’n Bike Exhibition which will include several activities such as, Obstacle course, balance competition, loudest exhaust, People’s Choice and Best Burnout. The event will begin at 10:00 am at Canefield Airport.
The last day will be Island Ride Out which will route from scenic stops in Marigot, Calibishie and Portsmouth beaches, ending at Bell Hall Beach Bar by 4 pm.
