Saint Lucia: Tourism Minister, Ernest Hilaire shares update arrival of Azamara Onward at La Place Carenage

Castries, Saint Lucia: Ernest Hilaire, Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information, shared an update on the arrival of Azamara Onward at La Place Carenage for the first time. The inaugural call was made by the cruise ship to Port Castries on January 10, 2023 (Tuesday).

Hilaire mentioned that the cruise was welcomed by the staff of the Ministry of Tourism, Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, Saint Lucia Hospitality and Tourism Association, SLASPA and the cruise agent. Representatives from the Ministry of Tourism also welcomed the captain and crew in a brief Plaque Exchange ceremony aboard the vessel. Captain Gianmario Sanguineti captained the ship, and it brought 620 guests, and 400 crew, to the shores of Saint Lucia to enjoy Fair Helen. The passenger cruise ship was once part of the Princess Cruises fleet under the name Pacific Princess.
