Saint Lucia: HelpAWS, the charitable organisation of Castries, has recently introduced their super pup, who is a hero for them. The social media post by the organisation read, “Our little Starlord may not have the superhero powers of his fictional namesake, but he is certainly a super pupper, and a hero in our eyes!”
Starlord came to the HelpAWS family as part of a litter of 7 pups. They were all in dismal health when they arrived, and sadly, only Starlord and his sister survived.
He is a gentle, sweet-natured, and somewhat timid baby boy, although he is finally starting to gain some confidence and come out of his shell. He is not a pup that demands attention, but rather, he waits patiently in the background to be noticed.
When all the other pups at the shelter are crazy, Starlord is often found sitting in the little doghouse or somewhere along the sidelines, just taking it all in. He is very close with his sister and would do well in a forever home with a furry sibling to help show him the ropes.
Perhaps because of the circumstances of his birth and the neglect his litter endured before they arrived at the shelter, Starlord takes a bit longer to feel comfortable in new situations. Or maybe he’s just one of those shy guys who don’t have to be the star of the show but will be your loyal companion and trusty sidekick throughout his lifetime. Whichever it may be, one thing that is certain is that you’ll fall in love with this tender soul the minute you meet him!
Furthermore, the organisation announced that Starlord is ready to find his forever family and start the rest of his life living in the lap of love and adventure.
“We have some flight parent opportunities coming up, and we would love to send him home! If you’ve been looking for your trusty sidekick and super buddy, look no further. Just go to www.helpaws.com/adopt and complete an adoption application for Starlord!” HelpAWS stated.
HelpAWS appealed to the Saint Lucians and people living in Canada and the United States of America to help the organisation in taking the pups to a safe and sound place where they can live for their whole life. It also asks the people travelling from Saint Lucia to become flight parents, which will reduce the risk of transporting pups to their permanent parents.
An interested candidate or volunteer may also donate towards the growth of the organisation. As per the official statement by HelpAWS, donations can be made via e-transfer, Zelle or PayPal to [email protected] or to @helpaws using Venmo.
