Saint Lucia: Prime Minister of the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia Philip J Pierre and Cabinet Ministers have announced that during the Christmas Season 2022, the shopping hours will be extended.

According to the latest update about the government of Saint Lucia, the timing for shops and vendors will remain as follows:

  • From Monday 19th to Saturday 24th December 2022 until 9:00 pm.
  • From Tuesday, 27th to Saturday, 31st December 2022, until 9:00 pm.

The timings for the malls will be following:

  • From Monday 19th to Saturday 24th December 2022 until 11:00 pm.
  • From Tuesday, 27th to Saturday, 31st December 2022, until 12:00 am.

The Prime Minister and the Cabinet of Ministers have approved the extension of closing hours for public and social events from 2:00 am to 5:00 am at Rodney Bay, the Town of Gros Islet, and other locations approved by the competent authority to accommodate celebrations during the festive season from Saturday, 24th December 2022 to Tuesday, 3rd January 2023.

The Cabinet of Ministers also takes this opportunity to wish the public a safe and enjoyable Christmas Season.

According to the government of Saint Lucia, the Christmas holidays in the nation will commence from December 25 (Sunday) to December 27 (Tuesday). Following this, New Year holiday will be celebrated between January 1 (Sunday) and January 2 (Tuesday).
