Castries, Saint Lucia: The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 30-year-old Yannick Jean of Crown Lands, Bexon. The police were notified of a shooting incident at around 1:25 am on Saturday, April 15, 2023, and upon arriving at the scene, found Jean lying motionless with apparent gunshot wounds.

Jean was immediately taken to the Owen King European Union Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead by the doctor.

According to the update by the Police Service, a post-mortem examination has been scheduled for a later date to determine the exact cause of death.

This tragic incident has left the family and friends of Yannick Jean in shock and mourning.
