Results of Secondary Schools Netball Championship, know here

The secondary school’s netball championship is being conducted in Dominica. Three matches were played at the Forecourt Stadium on Monday, 20th November 2023.

The championship has been organized by the Sports Division in the Ministry of Culture, Youth, Sports and Community Development, Dominica.

The first match was played between Dominica Grammar School and Goodwill Secondary School in the under-16 division. The winner of this match was Dominica Grammar School; they defeated Goodwill Secondary School by six goals.

The players who scored goals for Dominica Grammar School:

– Rochelle Marshall netted nine goals from 11 attempts.

– Jayan Jules scored five goals from 6 attempts.

The goal scorer from Goodwill Secondary School:

– Marie Montune took six attempts to score five goals.

– Mia Dangler netted three goals in 5 attempts.

In the second game of the day, Castle Bruce Secondary School faced Dominica Grammar School in the Under 20 category. Castle Bruce Secondary School won this match with a score of 37-15.

The players who netted goals for Castle Bruce Secondary School:

– Dian Augustine netted 16 goals and took 19 attempts.

– Celina Winston took 38 attempts to score 21 goals.

The goal scorer from Dominica Grammar School:

– Rochelle Marshal scored 13 goals from 19 attempts.

– Rebecca Parillon netted 1 goal in 2 attempts.

– Jyan Jules took only one attempt to score a goal.

The final game of the day was played between Dominica State College and Academix. The game was won by Dominica State College by 11 goals.

The players who scored goals for Dominica State College:

– Talisa St. Louis netted 16 goals from 28 attempts.

– Earlandra Tavenier also took 28 attempts to score 16 goals.

– Nyabel Paquette netted seven goals from 12 attempts.

The goal scorer from Academix:

– Nyoka James netted 16 goals from 37 attempts.

– Maurissa Andrew took 26 attempts to score ten goals.

The last time the matches were played was on Friday, 17th November 2023. Three matches were played at the Windsor Park Forecourt.

The first match was conducted between Convent High School and Dominica Grammar School. The match was won by Convent High School with a score of 38-5.

Wesley High School competed against Goodwill Secondary School in the second game of the match.

The third game was held between Convent High School and Dominica Grammar School of the under-20 division and the match was won by Convent High School with a score of 63-9.
