Various Caribbean leaders reach US to attend IX summit of the Americas
Caribbean: Various leaders from Latin America have landed at the United Nations of America to attend the XI summit of the Americas.

Caribbean: Various leaders from Latin America have landed at the United Nations of America to attend the IX summit of the Americas. The ninth summit was organised in Los Angeles and was scheduled between June 06 and June 10, 2022. The summit’s theme for 2022 is “Building a Sustainable, Resilient, and Equitable Future.”
The head of the states of the Caribbean countries attended the summit and represented their respective countries. The leaders who visited were Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda – Gaston Browne, Prime Minister of Barbados – Mia Amor Mottley, Prime Minister of Belize – Johnny Briceño, Prime Minister of Dominica – Roosevelt Skerrit, President of Guyana – Irfaan Ali, Prime Minister of Haiti – Ariel Henry, Prime Minister of Jamaica – Andrew Holness, Prime Minister of St Lucia – Philip J Pierre and Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago – Dr Keith Rowley.
The Prime Ministers are accompanied by their wives, who are supposed to attend forums for First Ladies.
The Prime Ministers of the Caribbean met the President of the USA – Joe Biden, and the first lady of the US – Jill Biden. The leaders have also shared a glimpse of their visit on their official social media handles.
